This award winning home, designed by Standard, involved a total rebuild and expansion of a small cottage into a 3,500 square foot home and office in the Glassell Park neighborhood of Los Angeles.
The new home features a 24-foot sliding pocket door and large custom pivoting wood and glass doors, opening the interior spaces to the seven-acre canyon property. With an ecological aim, original materials were recycled wherever possible and green materials, such as an end grain wood floor, were incorporated into the project.
