Puelicher House

Built in 1960 by architect Boyd Georgi, the Puelicher House is a true icon of Californian Modernism and holds a Registered Historic Landmark status. Working alongside architect Emily Farnham, Bronstruction completed a comprehensive restoration and sensitively built upon the original design intentions.

While the house was almost entirely original, the work was extensive and required full structural reconstruction. In adherence with strict guidelines, all original materials were maintained and restored where possible, including floor to ceiling mitered windows, doors, and parquet floorings. The original decks surrounding the house, a major feature of the architecture, were taken apart and remade in exacting detail. The renovation also included a kitchen, three bathrooms and all new millwork throughout. Bronstruction worked concurrently on Boyd Georgi’s personal residence, which helped to inform the work.
